FYI – Change to my blogging schedule

Hi everyone!

What mad weather we have been having in Adelaide lately. At this time of year it is usually scorching hot, but it has felt like winter today. Cold and pouring with rain! I’ve had to dig out my jumpers/sweaters and warm pants! (For my readers in Queensland and New  South Wales, where there has been major flooding, stay safe and I hope that your homes have not been damaged. Just terrible to experience so many natural disasters in only a few years.)

Before I get on to tonight’s post proper, I would like to let you know something and so have written this short post first.

I am making some changes to my blogging schedule.

I absolutely LOVE running this site but my Japanese studies recommence next week. This year will be the hardest yet as we are going to be moving into heavy use of kanji (Chinese characters borrowed by the Japanese) and more grammar (oh yes, can’t avoid that in any language darn it! ).

I hate to admit it, but I really didn’t apply myself to my studies last year as well as I should have. I think I let the balance between my many hobbies get out of whack and my progress with my studies really suffered. I am lucky in that (usually) my memory for languages is pretty good, but I can’t neglect my studies the way I did last year! As someone smart once said, you can have anything you want, just not everything you want.

So what does this mean for the blog?

I can’t continue to blog three times a week if I want to catch up and make progress with my Nihongo.

Don’t fret! I will still be here, but blogging twice a week. My plan is to blog Thursdays and Sundays. Sometimes a sneaky Tuesday post may appear, but this will depend on what is happening in my life and schedule.

As for tonight… Stay tuned for a review that my Mum has helped me with! Will be up within the hour.
