Hello everyone!
If you haven’t yet, do check out the latest giveaway on the blog over HERE. It’s open worldwide!
I also wanted to update you about how I went in the recent Expedia Blogger Search competition. There was huge interest in this comp and many bloggers from all over Australia and New Zealand entered. The winner announcement was meant to be on Monday 7/1/13, but this was delayed until the Friday. It only seemed to have been announced on their Aussie Facebook page, so luckily I was checking it daily that week!
As you have probably guessed by now I wasn’t a winner – so won’t be jetting off for a while yet# – but I appreciated everyone’s support and votes immensely. Thank you!
Well done to the winners; it will be interesting to read about your travel experiences!
Now, what’s so beautiful? Let’s get on with tonight’s post!

It’s not too often that you will look at the packaging your cosmetics are boxed in and notice that a brand’s HQ is in Adelaide. However, this is the case with Vani-T (say “vanity”). Add that to some beautifully designed containers and quality pigment, and I’m totally sold!
With a head office in Adelaide, Australia, Vani-T is stocked in various locations around the country and can be ordered online. (For my international readers, there is an official UK site but the US site is still under construction at present – it is due to launch in 10 days! You can visit all sites through the official Australian page here.) They have a wide range of mineral cosmetics as well as body care, tanning, hair, and teeth whitening products; I am quite impressed at the variety of products they have developed! The range is already a hit with well known celebs, including Danni Minogue and Cameron Diaz, and they have been featured on Australia’s Next Top Model.

I have been road testing their Mineral Blush* (in Gelati, RRP $40.95 AUD/10gm ) and two Mineral Colour Crystal eye shadows* (in Athena and Dusty Rose, RRP $31.95 AUD each/3gm).
Check out the pretty packaging and pigments! I will let the photos speak for themselves:
As we can see, the colours I have been working with are nice in that they will suit most skin tones and can be worked into different looks. The photos of how these swatch don’t really do them justice!
Swatched from L to R: Mineral Blush in Gelati, and Mineral Colour Crystal in Athena and then Dusty Rose. They are pigmented, beautiful, and can be worn lightly or easily built up to create different effects.
I tend to go for subtle looks most of the time. I think this is probably because my hair is so bright; I don’t feel that I need a lot of embellishment but I do love my bright lipsticks!
Here’s some shots of me wearing these… No filters have been applied as I want you to get an accurate view of these as possible (in fact, I rarely apply filters to the photos on the blog except when I put pretty patterns on using Instagram style filters!).

As you can see it helps you create a really nice “soft” look! D’oh there’s an eyelash on my cheek :/
You might look at these and think I’ve gone a bit light handed, but what I am trying to show is that you can create wonderfully soft and very flattering looks with these. As they are so pigmented, you only need a teeny amount on your brush to achieve such effects. This is important as, given the pricing, it means you get value for money as any of these items will last you a long time.
Beautiful Rating ~ Mineral Blush 9/10: quality 5/5, value 4/5 (it is great but is at a high price point).
Beautiful Rating ~ Mineral Colour Crystal 9/10: quality 5/5, value 4/5 (as per the blush).
Vani-T are available online, where you can also find a list of local stockists.
Pssst! Shipping is currently free on Australian orders, so if you like what you see, check out their site!

Sarah these look absolutely gorgeous. The packaging is divine. You would definitely want to keep them out on view! I am particularly loving mineral blushes and eyeshadows and will be featuring some in the next week or so. Also love that VaniT are Adelaide based.

Hi Kate, I agree!
Ooh, I can’t wait to read about what you have been trying! I think mineral based blushes and shadows seem so much easier to blend.
Yes I got a real (pleasant!) surprise when I noticed that! They are in Lonsdale!
I have never heard of this brand before, but the packaging is adorable. I like bulky and sturdy packing, and these look great.

Hi Angela, I think they are only just branching out into the USA now! So now you have the heads up!
I really like the packaging too, I can’t get enough!
How wonderful to see a makeup manufacturer based in Adelaide! I had heard of the brand before but didn’t realise how extensive the range was. Will definitely be considering this brand in the future, as the colours and beautiful shine look divine.
Hi Kaye yes it is something different and surprising, but in a good way!
it’s a huge range now and their website is worth exploring. The shadows and blush are so pigmented that they will last a long time, so they are good value!
