GIVEAWAY | Let Personal Planner help you get organised in 2013 and beyond! =CLOSED=

This giveaway is now CLOSED. Official winner announcement is here! :)

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend. :)

I don’t know about you, but for myself I find having a traditional paper diary very important! I like to be able to jot down appointments and key dates by hand; it’s also useful to have it in my handbag if I’m jotting down ideas on the go.

A problem I have, however, with standard diaries is that they can look so boring! Since childhood I have always jazzed up whichever diary I’ve had for the year. Typically this has been with cute stickers; other years I’ve stuck on postcards or whatever I’ve felt like!

Personal Planner are an exciting and creative company who understand this issue really well. On their site you can design your own diary/planner, right down to the finest details! There are a variety of sizes as well, and you can even import information about your Facebook friends, so that their birthdays are automatically printed in the diary.

They also have a nice range of notebooks which you can customise!

If you purchase a diary or notebook from Personal Planner, you also get free access to their blog planner feature, which is pretty cool for those of you who also blog:

Personal Planner have kindly partnered with me to allow ONE lucky reader to win an electronic gift card of AUD $45 value, which can be spent on their site on a diary/planner OR notebook! Postage is included and if you already have a diary for this year, don’t fret  – you can create one for 2014. (You choose the start date.)

How can you win?

Simply comment on this post with your favourite memory from 2012!

The person with the most interesting answer, as judged by me, will be the winner. Personal Planner will then email you your gift voucher, all ready to spend! So ensure you enter your email address correctly.

Entries close 12pm Adelaide, Australia time (GMT + 10.30) Saturday 19/1/13. The winner will be announced on this site on 20/1/13.

Personal Planner’s official Aussie website is here. You can also show them some love on Facebook, right here!

Good luck! x

My favorite memory of 2012 was getting married. Even though we just had our license notarized at the bank, it was still good enough for us.

Hi Sarah, congratulations on your wedding! :) Thank you for your entry and good luck! :)

My favourite memory from 2012 was my wedding day!!! After 18 months of planning and organising our special day, my diary and wedding planner were my best friend. I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day as everything went to plan and I’ll remember it for the rest of my life. :)

    • 13/01/2013 at 10:43 AM #

Hi Louise, it really was a great wedding – 18 months of planning, wow! Thanks for your entry and good luck. :)

Bring home my dog from the hospital . It was very touch and go for 4 days and i was so sure she might not make it this time. She’s now on the mend and we are back to being a happy healthy family again.
    Fabulous giveaway doll.

My favourite memory of 2012 was when my husband and I decided that we were sick of being unappreciated at our workplace so we went in together to the Sales Manager and both resigned. The look on his face was priceless!!

We are both so much happier and can now focus on the important things in life. We both feel like a huge weight has been lifted from our shoulders and love that we can spend quality time without focussing on negative situations and people.

I also followed my dream of starting a beauty blog and have loved meeting the wonderful Adelaide Beauty Bloggers during 2012 :-)

My favourite memory was my first dance performance in front of family and friends. It was nerve wracking but ended up being one of the best things I’ve ever done.

    • 13/01/2013 at 10:49 AM #

Hi Jayne, wow! :) I haven’t danced – in a performance – for a very long time; I think I’d get major stage fright doing it now! Thanks for your entry and good luck!

Favourite memory from 2012 was my birthday spent in a luxury retreat in Hindmarsh Valley overlooking Victor Harbour / Bluff with my husband (and kids were with Mum and Dad back in Adelaide)….:)

Hi Rach I note the key point there – being kid free lol! ;) sounds like a very relaxing break! Thank you for your entry and good luck!

November 2012 – I’d just come back to Adelaide from a fantastic holiday. While away, a magazine editor I’d met at a function had asked me to come for a coffee. I’d hoped the editor was going to ask me to write an article … but actually I was asked to write a regular column! The same day, I got home to an email saying that I’d won a (quite valuable) furniture voucher.

That was just the most awesome day all round!

Wow, what an amazing website. Even if I don’t win, I’ll be bookmarking it for next year. I am SO fussy when it comes to diaries/planners.
My favourite memory of 2012 would be going to the snows! I learnt (am still learning haha) how to snowboard and now cannot wait for the snow to return so I can learn to ski this time.

Hi, I know it’s pretty cool isn’t it!? :) there are so many customisation options the mind boggles, but in a good way! Ah yes I remember your snow pix on Instagram (if memory serves me right!); it looked like you had a great trip! I’ve never skiied or snowboarded and I think it would take me a looooong time to pick it up lol (I’m a bit unco!)! Thanks for your entry and good luck!

There were a couple of good memories including my solo Melbourne trip but my favourite was when we had just lost our house, and had to move everything in with my Mum and my brother and sister so it was pretty squishy with the five of us.
About two weeks in to our stay, I was out and my Mum called me to say that a friend of a friend had just bought a house nearby and were looking for tenants. I was kind of “oh yeah, sure” because we’d had such a bad run of luck, but it turned out to be the best thing that happened all year. Phew.

My husband and I went to Shanghai to visit his family. It was amazing. Such good fun, fun shopping…what a city

    • 15/01/2013 at 8:44 AM #

Hi Rachel, wow I’d love to go to Shanghai! Lucky you; I’m sure it’s an awesome place! :) thank you for your entry, and good luck!

I love the idea of that kind of customisation.

Let’s see… I suppose it would have to be coming across my boyfriend online in January 2012. For the first two weeks of knowing me, he thought I was a guy. o_ O And I was too scared to tell him I wasn’t, because I’d already managed to fall for him. Lol. Ahem. In the end, it turned out he was bisexual, so we all lived happily ever after. Hahaha. This story came out a lot weirder than intended.

Aww how cute are these planners? I don’t normally enter giveaways but I can’t resist this one :P

Right. Favourite memory of 2012 will have to be the trip my husband and I took to Japan. We haven’t had a proper holiday of just the two of us since our honeymoon 4 years ago and we had the time of our lives. It was good for me to be back in the country I lived in for 1.5 years and to show what it’s like to my husband who’s never been to Japan.

Unfortunately it also means that from now on, he’ll be comparing our Melbourne trains to the incredibly efficient Japanese ones. And I’ll be hearing a lot about it ;)

Hi Tine, yeah they are pretty cute! :) I think it’s a really cool idea.

It looked like you two had such an awesome time in Japan; I’m guessing that returning as a tourist vs working holidayer would have been quite different! :)

Lol about the trains… Be grateful that you guys aren’t living here in Adelaide – our central station is closed for a few months, as at long last we will get electric trains here! This has led to significant issues and hoo-ha but we are so behind here; the upgrade is sorely needed.

My favorite moment of 2012 was when my friends and I accidentally discovered a tropical island getaway! We were supposed to go to a popular beach resort but when we got there the place was already fully booked. So the gang and I hopped on a boat on the search of a new place to crash for the weekend. We were already traveling far up the coast unto the open sea when we stumbled upon an islet brimming with coconut trees on it’s powdery white shore. What I sight it was after an hour of so of traveling via boat. We led our boat to the tropical paradise and happily splashed our way to it’s different shades of blue, crystal clear waters! We’d definitely go back again!

    • 17/01/2013 at 10:43 AM #

Hi Shanne thanks for your entry! Where was the popular beach resort???? (The traveller in me is curious! :D )

My fave memorie. Ummm… My worst memory was when my parents told me that my nan had a stroke. She was close to death. That really affected me and I couldn’t bare my Nan dying. So I prayed and prayed and she was still alive. The fact she was alive made me so happy and was one of my fave memories. When I saw her after her stroke i was so happy. Ijust thanked god for that.

Hi Jessie, I’m sad to hear about that but glad that your Nan has survived and is still here with you!

My favorite memory in 2012 was when my neighbor knocked on my door and asked if I wanted to go grocery shopping with her. I had just moved to this county and didnt know anyone. It was nice to see a friendly face. It reminded me that there are some genuinely nice people out there especially after the hard year that I had. Now, we go out to movies together, chat and drink coffee together, go walking with one another. It’s a friendship that I’m happy to have and happy to give back to.
