Blog update + some pics from the weekend!

Hi there! In case you have not caught my posts last week, I’m just wanting to let you know that for the next week and a bit I will be away. I’m going to Bali, Indonesia, and won’t be on the Internet much. So my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram will be quieter than usual. Don’t worry if I do not respond on there or to blog comments as quickly as I usually do – it’ll just be because I’m off at the beach or on a mountain somewhere lol!

I’ve got some scheduled posts lined up for your reading enjoyment, on a variety of topics (so not just product reviews, which I admit I’ve been doing a lot of lately!).

Here’s a few of my favourite pics (from my Instagram + other camera that I was using) that Mr R and I took over the recent AVCon weekend! I plan to write up a tutorial on how I achieved my makeup look for that weekend soon, once I’m back from hols.

Today I’ve installed a new plug-in on the blog which will allow those of you who comment on my posts (thank you! Comments are like gold to bloggers! ) to receive a copy of my reply to your comment via email. This will save you time in that you won’t have to come back to a post to check if I’ve left a response. The email will go to the address you’ve used when signing in to leave a comment. Let me know what you think of this feature – if people like it I will keep it, but if people don’t I’ll rethink it.

I’ve also had to install a “captcha” plug-in for comments. I’ve been getting a heap of spam which I have not been able to easily block via other means. I’m sorry about the extra time it takes to comment when captcha is enabled but this will be a win-win situation in the end – I won’t miss anyone’s genuine comments amongst the spam!

Also, for my subscribers on “hellocotton”, unfortunately there seems to be a problem with their site at the moment! I keep getting 404 errors (404 = page not found). Hopefully this will be sorted out soon; in the meantime you may wish to subscribe via email or bloglovin (bloglovin is very similar to HC)! Links to these options are in the sidebar. >>>>>
