Mama mia! Sunday evening again?! I’m not complaining about it being the weekend but Sunday evenings tend to leave me in a “meh” zone… It’s still the weekend (woohoo!) but I must go to bed at a respectable hour as Monday is coming… Such is life! On a less “meh” note, I have just got off of Skype, talking with a friend who lives interstate. It was fun to use Skype as I’m completely new to it! (Pretty slow of me, huh?)
This coming week I have planned to write about: my Korres crisis (of sorts!), a review of a J-Drama I’ve recently finished watching (don’t fret beauty lovers, this type of review will be brief and only appearing now and again, and hey some of you might really like these too – I hope! ), and a review of a pretty Kanebo Kate (Japanese) lippie I picked up on eBay a little while ago now.
Before I do all that, I would like to share some information with you about some upcoming events relevant to beauty and fashion bloggers which you may be unaware of. The first is open to bloggers only but the other two are suitable for anyone interested in the area of beauty and fashion. Sorry to my international readers, as all of these events are in the great land Down Under!
First – because it’s in my hometown – the Adelaide Beauty Conference is coming SOON!
What is it? A fantastic day out for beauty bloggers, hosted by the superkalafragalistic+ Media Makeup. A great opportunity to meet the faces behind some of Adelaide’s beauty blogs and network away!
When? September 1, 2012.
Details? Check out the Facebook event page HERE , like the Adelaide Beauty Bloggers Facebook page HERE, follow the conference’s official Twitter account @AdelBeautyCon, and hang out for the official website launch (coming soon! I will update this post once it has gone live). There are limited passes available to this event so if you are keen, check out the above links ASAP!
= ALERT! Update 31/7/12 – the official conference website is now LIVE! Head to: http://adelaidebeautyconference.com/ =
*This event has been organised as part of the Adelaide Beauty Bloggers Meetups (#ABBM on Twitter). Please visit the #ABBM page on #ABBM founder Celeste’s site Becoming Beautiful for more information.
The Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo on August 11 & 12, 2012 is also not to be missed! Too bad I’ll be away… :’(
(Click the image for a bigger and easier to read version.)
What is it? Open to those in the industry, the general public, as well as bloggers of course!
Details? Check out the official website at www.internationalbeautyexpo.com.au
Last but not least, there is an opportunity for budding fashionistas and social media lovers in Melbourne as part of the 2012 Faces of Caulfield.
What is it? The Caulfield Cup is a horse racing event. The event organisers are looking for a guy and girl to be representatives for the 2012 BMW Caulfield Cup Carnival – and you don’t have to be a Melburnian to enter!
Details? As per the image above! But if you’re having trouble with that the official website is over at http://caulfieldcupcarnival.com.au/facesofcaulfield
An additional honourable mention, but added on to the end here as registrations have closed, is Beauty Bloggers Utopia which is also being held very soon!
2012 is its first year and it is a national conference for Australian Beauty Bloggers. Please visit http://makeuputopia.com/about/beauty-bloggers-utopia to read more about this event.
Have a great week ahead everyone! I can’t believe that in two weeks’ time I’ll be sunning it up (with plenty of SPF, of course!) in Indonesia! (More on that to come.)
I have really been hanging out for a holiday – it’s been far too long!
Have you attended a beauty, fashion, and/or blogging related event recently?
Will you be going to/participating in any of the above events?
Good luck to those participating in #FacesOfCaulfield!
