Update + Empties for June

Ok it’s Thursday again! Time for a new post. I’ll admit I like routines and order so I do try to stick to the pattern I’ve set myself for posting!

There are a few things happening lately on and for the blog that I’d like to briefly let you know about…

First, I am very excited to announce that I have been selected to be a Schwarzkopf Brand Ambassador! *Happy dance!* This will mean that I will have the chance to share with you news on up and coming products from this well known brand, as well as my thoughts on how they perform!   I am very grateful for this opportunity.

Second I would like to thank both Sylvia at Beauty and Aikido and Sakura of Sweet Days of Girlie for awarding me the Tell me About Yourself blog award! I have already participated in a very similar blog award/tag so please head here if you’d like to read that.

Third, but not least, I would like to thank each and every one of my blog’s readers! Thank you. The blog seems to be growing from week to week and I am so glad I decided to take the plunge and start “a beautiful story” back in October (2011). I am likely to run a 1st Birthday Giveaway when the time comes and YES it will be open internationally!

I’ve started to pop my empty products in a box so it makes it easy come “Empties post time”. Unfortunately everything this month either has been or is due to be reviewed, but here’s the collection anyway! (Click on the image to see a bigger version.)

You will notice there are a few Thalgo products in there – once the My Beauty Diary series is complete (and there is a surprise to wrap up the series!) I will be taking you through a few goodies in Thalgo‘s extensive range.

On the weekend I mentioned that I was going to a cosplay/dress up ball. Here’s a couple of pics of me and my outfit! One is from my phone but the rest are from the DSLR… Yep still needing a remote! I was dressed as a neko meido (cat maid) but as you can see it was a tasteful maid get up! I didn’t blend the shadow as much as I usually would as I wanted an exaggerated cat eye like look for this particular event.
